The Small Print

Deposits

A deposit of £50 or 30% is required to confirm the booking of wedding cakes.  In the event that the cake is cancelled, this will not be refundable.

Hire of Stands

Stand hire is dependent on your choice of stand being avalable in your area.  Once you have booked a stand we will confirm it's available within 14 days.

A deposit of £50 will be required on any stand provided.  The stand should be returned by the agreed date or if not stated within 7 days of the date of the wedding in an undamaged condition when the deposit will be returned.

Stand design may vary slightly due to different manufacturers, the descriptions refer to the position of the cakes in relation to each other on the stand.

Viewing the finished cake

We strongly recommend you view the finished cake, where possible, before delivery.  Whilst every effort will be made to ensure that the cake is decorated to your exact specifications and requirements, no liability will be accepted for any errors in the appearance of an unchecked cake unless the cake is clearly demonstrated to be different from the agreed specification.

Alterations to orders

Alterations to orders are to be confirmed in writing and may be subject to an additional charge.  Late amendments to orders are often possible and every effort will be made to accommodate changes but this cannot be guaranteed.

Delivery

Delivery is a flat fee of £25 on top of the purchase price.  Long distance delivery may be possible but an extra charge will apply.

Payment

50% of the outstanding total must be paid by the date specified on the quote (usually 6 to 8 weeks before the delivery date). Full payment is required on delivery of the cake. 

Payments can be made by the following methods :

  • Cash
  • Switch, Debit or Credit Card
  • Personal cheque supported by a valid cheque guarantee card
  • Building Society cheque
  • Cheques should be made payable to "In 2 Cake"
